Keely Strauss

Keely is one of our Season A ambassadors and a first-time bikini competitor who truly represents what Comp Culture is all about: consistency, growth, and trusting the process.

Her fitness journey started in a simple and relatable way. When she first began going to the gym with her partner Ethan, she would mostly walk on the treadmill while he trained. Over time she began experimenting with weights, learning proper form and slowly building confidence in the gym. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a genuine passion for strength training.

One of the biggest lessons Keely has learned along the way has been the importance of recovery. During her university years she often relied on caffeine and very little sleep, not realising how much it was impacting her progress. Once she began prioritising sleep, everything improved, her training, recovery, mood and overall performance. It became one of the biggest game changers in her journey so far.

After spending the past 12-18 months immersed in the bodybuilding community, building friendships and learning from others in the sport, Keely decided to take the next step and compete herself. She is currently preparing for her first season as a bikini athlete, embracing both the nerves and excitement that come with stepping on stage for the first time.

Working closely with her coach Morgs, Keely is focused on trusting the process and bringing her best possible package to the stage. She loves the structure and discipline that prep brings, and is especially excited to see the physique she has been building begin to reveal itself.

Outside of the gym, Keely is an undergraduate civil engineer. You’ll often find her in a hard hat, safety boots and hi-vis on construction sites during the day, a sharp contrast to stage glam, but a reflection of the work ethic and routine she brings to everything she does. When she’s not working or training, she enjoys reading, spending time with her partner Ethan and their dog Eevee.

What Keely is most proud of in her journey so far is how far she has come personally. She started out too nervous to lift weights and stuck to walking on the treadmill. Now she’s preparing to step on a bodybuilding stage, proof that growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone.

Keely is the definition of trusting the process, and we’re excited to support her throughout her first competition season as part of the Comp Culture team.
